What would you do if you found yourself in an elevator with the head of the firm for your dream job? What about an inspiring and successful potential business mentor? A previously seemingly out of reach potential client?
What would you say? What would you do? Learning how to make a great elevator pitch is important for just such occasions. Here are a few tips...
- Make your introduce polite and straight to the point so as not to waste the person\'s time. Follow your brief introduction by quickly letting them know how what you are about to say will benefit for them (as known as WIIFM What\'s In It For Me).
- Keep your pitch brief and to the point. It should explain the overall idea but leave out enough details to leave the person wanting more.
- Keep a tone that is natural, confident and friendly. Though it may be a business pitch, it is an elevator pitch and you are in an elevator by chance. You don\'t want to put anyone off.
- Offer up a professional business card to continue the conversation in the near future. Don\'t have business cards? PrintsPal.com offers great business cards such as foil business cards and plastic business cards.
