What is the difference between a Glossy vs. a Matte Finish Business Card?
Well, a Glossy finish has a slick coating that makes colors pop, the glossy finish enhances your design while offering a superior protective finish. However, a Matte finish is a smooth, luster-free finish that stands up to wear and tear and highlights colors beautifully for a saturated, vibrant style.
- If you are using a black or dark background with a white font, glossy paper can work really well to make the white font pop and make it more legible.
- A Matte paper finish with only the logo or the company name having a spot-gloss finish looks very nice. (This makes the one element on the card stand out and also draws attention to the thickness and quality of the matte paper.)
- If you need to write on your business card, go for Matte.
- If you want your card to hold up through rain or sun exposure, go for the Glossy card stock.
Now, if you want the best of both worlds you may print a Glossy finish on front and a Matte finish on the back. This is the smoothest and most brilliant finish that we offer.
